Expert Gynaecologist Views on IVF – it has risks but nothing to worry

When you are trying to conceive, there are two possibilities. Either the results are positive and you conceive naturally and in some cases there are certain internal problems which need to be treated first and then it leads to pregnancy. And then there are cases when females are unable to get pregnant how hard they try. Despite of taking medicines they fail and lose the hope of having a child. When nothing works then too there is one hope before you and it is IVF. Now you might be thinking whether IVF works or not in all the cases. To a large extent, the infertility problems can be treated with IVF and that is why it is a good try to go for.

But mere having the plan in mind will not work as you will have to connect with the IVF specialist for the same. As they specialize in this area only they can help you in a better way. Dr Shivani Sachdev Gour is definitely a well-known infertility expert practising in Delhi. She has helped a lot of Indian as well foreign couples to have a baby and that too with no side effects. This is the reason that she is a popular name in and around the North Indi and the first choice of many couples. If you are interested to get in touch with her, do have a look at the reviews for dr shivani surrogacy clinic and you will find a lot of information. In this way you will have a better idea of IVF and its success rate.

Side effects of IVF

As IVF is all about artificial fertilization and the intake of lots of medicines and injects. This is the reason that there are few side effects of the treatment too. You might face headache problems, and then there might be mood swing because of the medications and pregnancy both. Pelvic discomfort is yet another problem that women go through because of the retrieval process of eggs. Some might face nausea or vomiting. So the side effects may vary and it is not sure that every woman will experience them. In some cases it is seen that the process is carried out without any problem and there are no adverse effects. On the other hand there are few who might face a little issue. So the side effects can vary from one woman to the other depend on their health and body.

But you need not worry about the side effects but just bring it to the notice of your doctor. They can help you to tackle the same but will have no impact on the process. These side effects are quite mild and common too. So there is nothing to take stress of but just keep relaxed. Regular visit to the doctor is a must and do let them know about other symptoms that you face. They will be able to help you in overcoming any kind of side effect that is disturbing you. So hope that IVF turns out to be the right treatment for you.

Tabling Of the Surrogacy Bill Has Made the Process More Complicated

NaiDunia

In India Surrogacy is on a much lesser scale. It has become more complicated after the introduction of the surrogacy bill in 2016.

Among 1.25 to 1.5 lakh IVF cases performed in India in a calendar year, only 6thousand are surrogacy cases. As per the new rule surrogate mother should be your close relative such as sister whose age is between 25 and 35. Apart from this, there are some other tricky guidelines which have made difficult for people to avail surrogacy. This is what IVF Specialist from Delhi Dr Shivani Sachdev Gour has said. On Sunday, she addressed the representatives of GOGS present in a CME. She gave information about various techniques used in treating infertility like IVF, Surrogacy etc. The president of the society Dr Kusum lata Singhal, Dr Roza Olyai, Dr Jyoti Bindal, Dr Meena Mundra, Dr Pratishtha Dalmia and others were present in the event. It was moderated by Dr Kirti Ghore.

Invited speakers in the CME spoke about the changes happening in the medical field

Fertilised eggs are transferred in the Uterus

Dr Sachdev explained that in IVF both the egg and the sperm are kept in a glass dish so that egg can be fertilized. After that these fertilized eggs are transferred to the uterus. If the woman is not capable of bearing the child then fertilized eggs are transferred to some other lady’s uterus and she becomes the surrogate mother.

The Puranas also mention a part of this Medical Science

Dr Sachdev has said that in today’s medical science we find techniques like IVF, Test Tube Baby, Parthenogenesis and Surrogacy etc. were also known to our sages thousands of years ago. In the Mahabharata also we find examples of surrogacy. Devki’s son Balaram was actually delivered by Rohini whereas Devki was his mother. In this case Devki’s embryo was planted in Rohini’s womb. In a similar way sage Vyasdeva took 101 live cells from the foetus of Gandhari and kept them in earthen pots and after a year 100 Kauravas and 1 Dushshala were born.

Thirty percent are affected by Infertility

As per the survey conducted in Delhi, about 30 percent IVF cases are reported every year. Dr Sachdev said she discussed this with the doctors there and they also gave the same figure. Changes in lifestyle, lack of exercise, diet with less protein, stress are some of the reasons of diseases like PCOD. In this cysts form in the ovary resulting in difficulty to conceive.

Technique of Cryo Preservation is also effective

Due to late marriage and changes in lifestyle, problems in pregnancy arises. Seeing this, people have started using the technique of cryo preservation. Using this, one can preserve her eggs beforehand and can choose the birth of the baby according to her convenience. Currently we can find this trend among the celebrities of Holly hood.

Things to Ask to Any IVF Treatment Centre

IVF is definitely one of the most successful ways to get pregnant but choosing the right clinic is what makes the difference. There is no point in trying several times and still getting no results. IVF is a costly treatment and every cycle costs around thousands. Also not every IVF centre talks about its success rate or discloses the same. Though there are few centres which have the success rate listed on their website but it is difficult to judge whether the same is genuine or not. So now the question of worry is how you will locate the best IVF centre for your treatment.

The increasing popularity of this treatment has given rise to a number of clinics. This in turn has created a lot of confusion as whom to trust and which clinic offers top notch services. If you too are puzzled with many questions in your mind, here are some of the things that you can ask when approaching any IVF Service Provider or infertility specialist.

Get to know the success rate in your case

The success rate mostly depends on your age. If you are growing older, the chances will certainly come down. Women who are below 30 have the success rate of about 26% while if the women have reached the age of 40, the percentage drops down to just 6%. Therefore it is very necessary to discuss the rate of success in your case so that you do not have any misconception but a clear idea of what the chances are. Based on that you can move ahead with the treatment.

Know about sperm injections

There are cases when the male sperms can be a big reason for the women not being able to get pregnant. It may be due to less sperm count or weak sperms. In such cases the sperms are injected through insemination. So as a patient you need to know about the sperm injections too whether your male partner is healthy or not. The doctor then can advise you the right solution and make sure the process turns out to be successful for you.

Stay away from affordable IVF treatments

There is no doubt that IVF is a costly affair and in case any ivf treatment centre is providing the same at low cost then it might be anything wrong. The hormone dose that you are given may be of poor quality, the services might not be good, the staff may be unqualified and lots more. So do a little homework and get the help of the people. If you are looking for a reliable IVF clinic, Dr Shivani Sachdev Gour is the brilliant solution for you.

Get familiar with the embryologists

Last but not the least is the job of the embryologists who need to create the right environment for fusion and growth. Sometimes the environment is not the right one and the embryo is unable to grow. Proper lab standards are not followed and this is where the couples have to suffer. So make sure the clinic is associated with a renowned embryologist only for the fair results.

A big Discussion on The Big Picture about- To Abort or Not

Ireland began voting on Friday in an abortion referendum that could be a milestone on a path of change in a country that, only two decades ago, was one of Europe’s most socially conservative. Polls suggest Irish voters are set to overturn one of the world’s strictest bans on terminations. On this edition of the big picture we discuss the issue of abortion.
